Alex on April 7 |
I was bugging Tony to take Alex to the barber - but as Tony doesn't really go to the barber, like ever, that seemed like it wasn't going to happen. So I was quite surprised to return from the grocery store on Saturday mornings and see this:
My eyes filled with tears immediately - The little man was sitting on the table, covered in a towel with tears running down his face as Tony patiently clipped his hair. Tony swears that the tears only arrived when Alex heard the garage door - which is a definite possibility. Still, this was pretty pitiful.
Tony had done most of the hard work. I quickly jumped in with a bit of scissors saving around the ears, brow, and neck line and then we washed off a years worth of blond silky hair. He looks like such a little man now - I was unprepared for it! I think I would have been okay with the long baby boy hair for a long time if he didn't have that little swirl in the back. But the more I see it the more I like it. His eyes seem bigger, his expressions more at the ready. My little boy is growing up!
Oh what a handsome little man!! He went to Tony's Barbershop - I hear they're the best in town...
ReplyDeleteWell they're the cheapest, anyway!
