If only I knew what was in store for me on Sunday I would have picked up Saturday and given it a big ole hug - because it was just about as perfect as Sunday was terrible. (There were lots of lovely things about Sunday - really! But it ended with such a bang that the rest of the day was overshadowed by fallout from the explosion.) Saturday was sunny. Saturday was warm. On Saturday no one was sick. We took long walks before lunch, snacked on the deck, and ran barefoot through the grass. It was the calm before the storm.

Collapse

This morning while getting dressed in a bleary state of desperation - the closet collapsed around me. The organizers ripped right out of the wall, leaving me covered in a mountain of often unused clothes. I sat amidst the rubble for a moment or two, lip quivering, not sure which way to turn.
Deep Cleaning

A fortunate/unfortunate byproduct of the current Pinterest craze is the constant influx of cleaning ideas. How to clean your home by doing only one job a day. A daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning list. Make your own soap. How to keep baseboards dust free and faucets spot free. How to deep clean your washer. How to deep clean your dishwasher. Tony and I are always fascinated by these lists. Partly because we marvel at anyone having the time to actually accomplish all of it, and partly because we so want to be the ones who are using this list and living in these pristine homes.
