A bow or two...

It's a lovely rite of passage when your daughters decide that they will do YOUR hair, instead of you doing theirs... and boy {bow} howdy were they excited about this!  They went through their hair box very carefully, selecting each and every clip-able bow - and then they completely adorned the top of my head with them.  I'm not going to lie - I think I look pretty radical here.

A few times throughout the process I would ask "How do I look?"
Emma would cock her head to one side, purse her lips, and say "Not too good".  Then Amabelle would rush in to assure me that it wasn't quite finished yet - just a few more bows and I would be beautiful.  Thank goodness - I had no idea it was this simple!

As my appointment drew to a close (meaning we were completely out of clip-able adornment) my hairdressers declared my new do a success and rushed me upstairs to show Daddy.  He, of course, was stunned at the wonderful site that was before him.  My girls were over the top excited about their results and declared that they couldn't wait to do my hair again - maybe for work, or to show Mrs. Zimmerman and Mrs. Ciatto at preschool.

"OH!  How about we do your hair for Target when we go to buy diapers, Mommy?!?"
I'm kind of tempted, they were that excited...

I waited until they were asleep before carefully removing each clip and tucking it back into it's place in the hair box.  I knew that I'd have to explain WHY the bows were not still in my hair in the morning, but for the next 11 hours my hair dressers slept peacefully with the knowledge of a job well done.
